He treasured you like nothing else and he always wanted you to someday inherit his company. People would always try to form partnerships with him but your father would not just choose randomly, which made him and everything around him, you included, even more interesting. Your Father was a great business man and indeed well known among others. You on the other hand were having significant problems concentrating on the women before you, which Heeseung noticed. All while standing next to high position men with no shame or caution. He was licking his lips, practically eye fucking you, taking off your dress. And even though you two were far away from each other you could see his eyes drift over your figure in the sparkly, tight and elegant, long dress you wore. He continued his conversation with eaze but did not take his eyes off of you. His gaze had a light undertone of pride to it. His laugh did not plaster his face at all anymore. It took you by surprise to see Heeseung already staring at you. As soon as his name was mentioned, your gaze wandered over to your boyfriend while you, raised your glass to your lips out of embarrassment. The women were appreciating your dress wondering about why ‘such a young lady like you’ would be amongst so many ‘old people’, then coming to the conclusion you of course must be with Heeseung, the polite gentleman. You yourself were conversing with three mid age and very kind women who appeared to be some mens wifes, holding a glass of wine too. He was having a light conversation with a few men holding a glass of alcohol, must’ve been some sort of wine, while laughing with them. Heeseung also believed that you would have no problem mingling around the crowd, therefore, letting you alone so he could socialize a bit for himself, making contacts and talking to old acquaintances to improve his reputation as the Mafia Leaders Son. Heeseung did too, thats why he told you about his Dads job early into the relationship, which was years ago, now having an established relashionship with him. It was your first time attending and Heeseung’s dad trusted you enough to be able to keep a secret and watch in silence when you eventually would have to. Heeseung brought you to one of those big gala like parties his Dad held regularly. Macau does ask to be left alone but Porsche ignores him and continues to egg him on, so his reaction seems fairly excusable leading to him falling into the pond and running to tattle-tale on his dad. But then this bodyguard decides to step out of his boundaries and push him, asking where his parents are (Macau hates his father, and his mother is dead) and if he was the maid’s son (a further insult to his already fragile ego and understanding of where he stands in the Theerapanyakul hierarchy that even a bodyguard can talk down to him).
So, with his simmering resentment at already being left out of the important meetings, in comes a random bodyguard, Macau takes one look at him, sees the uniform and pin of the major family bodyguards, and decides not to waste his time on someone who serves the family he belives is the root cause of his father’s neglect of him (as Ta explains in his character story). Either way, no one has bothered to ask Macau what he wants and he is simply pushed aside and left to his own devices. Vegas does not want to push his brother into their world so early, he wants him to have at least a chance at a childhood, one that Vegas likely never got. Gun thinks Macau is of no importance, he already has Vegas, his capable heir. A meeting he isn’t there for, or more likely isn’t allowed to be there for. The context of our first meeting with Macau in Ep 2 is that his father and brother are in a meeting with Korn and Kinn. Still, nothing sleep couldn't cure, or at least that’s what Michael told himself for the following two and a half years of endless combat. Something about the flashing display of 100 gunboats unloading their lethal contents at you day and night, with the accompaniment of ear-crippling booms, plays havoc on your nerves. And every night after that for nineteen days straight, by the end of which, Michael himself was heaving and shaking any chance he got away from the privates and NCO’s. Jimmy had been right to tremble for his life, he and most of their division got blown to hell that night. He’d expertly talked down young Jimmy Cates when the kid started shaking and gagging, same as this one, by the third hour of bombardment by the Jap’s on Guadalcanal.
He always kept a finger on the pulse of the morale and when one of his men started to show little signs of wearing thin Michael would take measures before anyone else had even noticed the twitches. Michael didn’t become a captain in the Marine Corps by being dense about the physical or mental state of his subordinates.
